Hansen and Oristaglio worked together in the 1990s at Schlumberger Doll Research in Connecticut, the leading R&D laboratory for geophysical services, where, along with several colleagues, they developed the technology of ground-penetrating imaging radar in a project sponsored by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), winning awards from Engineering News-Record, Construction Innovation Forum, and The Wall Street Journal.
The team has continued collaboration in Seknion, which was incorporated in 2004 and specializes in advanced scientific modeling and quantitative analysis for complex scenarios involving secure wireless communication, remote sensing and imaging, strategic planning, and financial risk management.
